How do I restore my Premium purchase?
Premium is a one-time purchase and it belongs to your Name Game account. On a new phone, or after reinstalling the app, sign in to Name Game the same way as before and Premium is there.
If it is not, go to Profile, open Premium and choose Restore purchase. The phone must be signed in to the same Apple or Google account that you bought Premium with.
If your partner bought Premium and the two of you are linked, you are covered by that purchase and do not need to buy it yourself.
How do I link with my partner?
Partner mode is part of Premium, and one purchase is enough for the two of you. The one who has Premium goes to Profile, opens Partner, creates an invite code and shares it with the other, who enters it in the same place in their own app. A code is valid for 7 days. Once you are linked you can play shared games, each on your own phone and whenever you like, and see a combined leaderboard.
How do I unlink from my partner?
You can unlink at any time: go to Profile and open Partner. Nothing is shared with a partner before you link. After you unlink, Premium stays with the one who bought it.
How do I change the name my partner sees?
Go to Profile and choose Change name. Your partner sees the name you set there.
How do Matches work?
The Matches list shows the names that you and your linked partner have both saved as favorites. A name appears there only when it is in both of your favorites lists. In that list your partner does not see favorites that you have saved but they have not.
A shared game from favorites is different: when either of you starts one, the names from both your lists are the names of that game.
I can’t sign in, or my favorites are missing
- Check that your phone is online, then close the app completely and open it again.
- Sign in the same way you did the first time. If you first used Sign in with Apple, use that again; if you used Google, use the same Google account. Signing in a different way can open a different, empty account.
- Make sure you have the latest version of Name Game from the App Store or Google Play.
If that does not help, email us and describe what you see on screen.
Delete your account
You can delete your Name Game account, and all the data associated with it, at any time.
In the app
- Open Name Game and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone. If you are linked with a partner, they are unlinked and keep their own games and favorites. If Premium was your purchase, your partner no longer has it.
By email
If you cannot use the app, email namegame@tornado-k.com from the email address you use to sign in and ask us to delete your account. We will delete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account: the account ID, your email address and the name you chose
- Your favorites
- Your games
- Your partner link and any invite code you created
- Your sign-in with us. Your Apple or Google account itself is not affected.
- The record of your account at RevenueCat, the company that checks purchases for us
What remains for a short time
For up to three days we keep the account ID of the deleted account, and nothing else, so that a phone that is still signed in cannot create the account again by accident. Backup copies of our database are kept for 7 days and technical records for up to 30 days. All of these are deleted automatically.
What we cannot delete
Records of your purchase that are held by Apple or Google are not controlled by us. They are kept by Apple or Google under their own policies. Deleting your account does not give you a refund, but because the purchase stays on your Apple or Google account you can get Premium back on a new Name Game account with Restore purchase.
For more about how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy.
