1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tornado K AS, based in Norway (“we”, “us”), the operator of the Name Game app for iOS and Android. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your right to use the app

You may install and use Name Game on your own devices, for your own private, non-commercial use, for as long as you follow these terms. This right is yours alone and you cannot pass it on to anyone else. The app, its design and its content belong to us or to those who have let us use their material, and using the app does not make any of it yours.

3. Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or your Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your phone and your Apple or Google account secure. If you use partner mode, only share your invite code with the person you want to link with.

Name Game is intended for adults and is not directed at children.

4. Premium

The app is free to use with some limits, and the free version shows ads. Premium is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks longer games, unlimited favorites and partner mode, and it removes the ads.

One purchase covers both partners for as long as you are linked. If you unlink, Premium stays with the partner who bought it.

Payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies, so please send any refund request to the store you bought from. If a purchase is refunded, Premium is switched off again.

Deleting your Name Game account does not give you a refund. The purchase stays on your Apple or Google account, so if you later create a new Name Game account you can get Premium back with “Restore purchase”.

5. Name suggestions

The names and the information shown with them are there for inspiration. We do not guarantee that they are accurate, complete or suitable for you. The choice of a name, and checking that it is right for your child and your circumstances, is entirely yours.

6. Acceptable use

When you use Name Game, you agree not to:

  • use the app for anything unlawful;
  • access, or try to access, another person’s account or data;
  • disrupt, overload or try to get around the security of the app or the service behind it;
  • copy, resell or extract the app’s content in bulk, or use automated tools to do so;
  • take the app apart to find out how it is built, except where the law gives you a right to do so.

7. Ending these terms

You can stop using Name Game at any time. To close your account, go to Profile → Delete account in the app; see how to delete your account.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. When your account is closed, your right to use the app ends.

8. Our responsibility to you

We work to keep Name Game running well, but the app is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (losses that follow only indirectly from a fault in the app, such as lost income), or for decisions you make based on the app, including your choice of a name. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Premium.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights that consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be signed away.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and disputes are to be settled by the Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer living in another country, this does not take away the protection that the laws of the country where you live give you and that cannot be signed away.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If you keep using the app after the new terms take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
